NicheStack TCP/IP is a communication stack that was developed by Interniche Technologies Inc., the Interniche TCP/IP stack was acquired by HCC-embedded, who is now part of Tuxera. TCP/IP communication stacks has been de facto communication stack since the dawn of the internet. Interniche Nichestack is also known by names: InterNiche stack, NicheStack, NicheLite.
Tuxera’s TCP/IP stack, formerly HCC-embedded TCP/IP stack, can be used as a replacement for the NicheStack TCP/IP, it has better security features and it has been maintained over the years and the years to come!

NicheStack TCP/IP has been deployed in millions of devices and some of those might not support over-the-air-updates, or they are mission critical applications where downtime needs to be properly planned, or the migration project will take longer period of time, in those type of projects we recommend joining the Tuxera Extended Lifetime Support Program.
