Tuxera, the global leader in ultra-reliable data solutions for critical workloads, has appointed three high-profile leadership team members. VP, Global Sales & Strategy Aleksina Shemeikka, VP, Marketing Merja Sinkkonen and VP, People and Culture Karoliina Reuna join Tuxera and its management team to support the company’s ambitious growth journey. Overall, the company plans to hire a total of 50 new employees over the coming year.
During autumn 2025, the Tuxera leadership team has been strengthened with three strategic, high-profile hires. The common denominator for all three roles is growth acceleration: scaling the business while also strengthening Tuxera’s position as the world’s leading company focused on data management and storage solutions.

VP, Global Sales & Strategy Aleksina Shemeikka brings extensive commercial, strategic and technical expertise to the company. She has previously held strategic management positions at organisations such as Qt Group, Zalando, Ingram Micro and OP Group.
Shemeikka has extensive experience in driving change and scaling operations. At Qt Group, she successfully doubled the business through strategic focus, operational excellence and close customer engagement. Having a background in embedded systems and automation technology, she is also excited about Tuxera’s technology and innovation in embedded and enterprise storage.
“Our aim is to boost growth via various growth opportunities and initiatives. This involves strengthening Tuxera’s position in selected ecosystems, forming strategic partnerships and pursuing opportunities that expand Tuxera’s market and product capabilities,” Shemeikka comments.
VP, Marketing Merja Sinkkonen, is an experienced expert in B2B marketing in the technology and cyber security sectors. She will be responsible for Tuxera’s global brand and marketing strategy. Sinkkonen has previously worked as Head of Global Marketing at WithSecure‘s Cloud Protection for Salesforce business, and at Espeo Software, which develops innovative fintech solutions leveraging blockchain, online payments and digital banking.
Sinkkonen’s objective at Tuxera is to support the company’s growth and to build a foundation for an innovative, AI-driven marketing model.
“Tuxera’s marketing is built around our customers’ success and powered by the expertise and commitment of our people. My goal is to ensure that every message and interaction builds trust in our technology and showcases the value we create together. By bringing Tuxera’s stories and innovation to life in ways that inspire customers and partners globally, marketing becomes a true driver of growth and brand leadership.”

The new VP, People and Culture, Karoliina Reuna, has more than 15 years of experience in HR strategy management and change management in global technology and energy companies as well as in start-up environments. She has previously worked at IBM and Fortum, and as CHRO at Coolbrook.
Reuna highlights that scaling is as much about culture as it is about numbers. She looks forward to working with Tuxera’s talented teams around the world to make the company’s vision a reality.
“Tuxera is at a thrilling point in its journey – scaling the business, expanding globally and pushing the boundaries of innovation. My focus will be on helping the company grow with intention: strengthening our structure, building clarity and creating conditions where talented people can thrive and deliver exceptional results,” Reuna says.
Data plays a key role in an increasing number of industries. The increased demand for Tuxera’s services and solutions comes from client companies wanting to ensure security even in critical environments.
Tuxera aims for bold goals: €100 million in revenue during this decade and expansion in the global market. This goal includes a plan to hire 50 new employees around the world during the coming year, with an emphasis on commercial roles.
Tuxera’s CEO Steffan Schumacher says that the company strives to attract the best talent from the global market also going forward.
“Our goal is to become the global market leader in our field. Building a world-class management team is key to achieving this. The addition of Aleksina, Merja and Karoliina to the team is a significant step forward in strengthening our ability to innovate, grow and serve our customers around the world. With the help of our professional management team, we will write the next chapter of our company, focusing on bold growth, exceptional culture, and industry leadership,” Schumacher says.
